FoodYouTrust (FOODyouTRUST) is the international symposium organised by ICA Research & Development together with Politehnica University of Bucharest, through its Faculty of Biotechnical Systems Engineering. The event takes place in Bucharest and brings together, over two days, specialists from laboratories, academia, the food industry and laboratory technology suppliers.
What it is about
The symposium looks at trust in food – from raw material to the product on the shelf – and at the role of laboratory testing, quality systems and new technologies in food safety. Each edition has its own theme:
- 2019 – New Lab Technology, Key for Quality Management
- 2022 – Raw Concept in the Food Chain – Quality and Analytics
- 2023 – Ready to eat products – Safety and compliance from farm to fork
- 2024 – Food and Health
- 2025 – Restoring Consumer’s Trust. Tackling Food Fraud for a Safer Future
- 2026 – The Zero Tolerance Paradigm: Controlling Listeria monocytogenes in the Era of Sustainability and Food Waste Reduction
The programme combines talks by ICA R&D specialists and UPB academics and researchers with presentations by manufacturers of analytical equipment and solutions, followed by question-and-answer sessions.
