From the very beginning, the institute was meant to carry out support activities for the development of the Romanian food industry. At present, the institute’s activity focuses both on the scientific substantiation and the technological testing on a pilot scale of new technologies and concepts related to food sciences, as well as on the testing of existing products, in order to provide the regular consumer with a safe food and nutritional needs.
